Our client, a main contracting organisation has a new opportunity for a ‘Bid Writer’ to join their pre-construction department.
The key criteria for this role is for someone who is well versed in Technical Bid Writing and is from a ‘Building/Contracting’ background. You will have a good all-round appreciation of building projects gained on commercial or residential schemes with values in excess of £20million.
The role will also include:
- Identify traditional and partnership (framework) opportunities
- Completing pre-qualification documents
- Agreeing bid team
- Managing the bid process
- Arranging progress meetings
- Allocating individual tasks with bid team members
- Ensuring deadlines are met
- Technical writing
- Maintaining bid performance statistics
You will be computer literate, with a high proficiency of Word and familiar with CRM or publishing packages such as Adobe InDesign. Our client has a dedicated in-house design team who will assist in the design and production of the finished bid documents, so you do not need to be a designer, the emphasis is on writing. The role will involve interaction with other bid team professionals/technical managers and external consultants.
The ability to communicate to a high level is paramount both spoken and written.
