Contracts Manager for a traditional contracting business who operate throughout North London and the Home Counties

Up to £80,000 plus company car or allowance, health pension & bonus incentive

Our client is a long established name in the specialist fit out sector have a new opening for a commercially minded Contracts Manager. Acting as the main contractor they are ­highly successful in the delivery of projects up to half a £1million in value, mainly refurbishment or fast track fit out of commercial premises.

They are looking for someone who has a good all-round appreciation of building, with the ability to take control of all aspects of projects from client brief, assisting with pricing,  through to contractual management and overseeing delivery teams. You will work closely with the commercial manager in the financial control of projects, including cash flow forecasts, procurement and payment of trade contractors, documenting any variations and reconciling accounts.

You could be a commercially minded tradesman, who has progressed through the ranks of site/project management and are now looking to run your own projects, or you could have a formal qualification in a construction discipline, with 3 years plus experience in the UK construction industry on commercial fit out projects.

Currently in a position where your achievements go unrecognised and your efforts unrewarded, you are now seeking a new and stimulating challenge, offering you the autonomy to run your own jobs and work closer to home (projects within a daily commute of Bedfordshire).
