You will be from a ‘traditional contracting background’, with a comprehensive career working for major contractors in the UK Building Industry. As the Commercial lead you will have a team of direct reports who will be responsible for managing the day to day commercial activities at project level. You will take a more strategic lead, through value engineering, formulating and agreeing their objectives and reporting to the Board at monthly performance meetings.
Private sector experience gained on major building projects is essential, to include commercial, hospitality and high end residential, with values typically in excess of £150million. A solid understanding of two stage/D&B contracts would be a distinct advantage and procurement techniques.
The successful candidate will be directly involved in the management and future development of the Company. The package offered reflects the crucial nature of the position and as well as all the normal senior management benefits, an attractive bonus scheme is in operation.
